The Suburban Journals, a subsidiary of Lee Enterprises, is a newspaper publisher of nearly 35 editions. The journals are focused on covering local high school sports in an effort to recognize the achievements of local youth. The Suburban Journals is based in Chesterfield, Mo., and reaches several of the surrounding communities. Lee Enterprises is a publishing firm that has had contributions from various famous authors, such as Mark Twain, Willa Cather and Thornton Wilder. The company publishes nearly 60 daily newspapers and more than 300 weekly newspapers in 20-plus states. It also offers online periodicals, shoppers, classified bulletins and other specialty publications. Lee Enterprises was founded in 1890 and is based in Davenport, Iowa.
