Simmler specializes in diagnostic reagent manufacturing. The company serves a wide range of hospitals and laboratories in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia. Its premier products, the S0412-00 Fetal Cell Stain Kit 300 and S0412-100 Fetal Cell Stain Kit 100 test kits, are used for the modified Kleihauer-Betke method of detection of fetal cells in maternal blood. Simmler s slide process is performed at room temperature and eliminates incubation periods associated with other methods. Reagents included in the kit provide complete staining capability in less than 20 minutes. Simmler has added a secondary stain-enhancing agent that promotes adequate fetal cell uptake and provides a very slight shading of the maternal cells. The contrast makes it easier for researchers to differentiate and count cells. Simmler was founded in 1968 and is based in High Ridge, Mo.
