Peter Westman, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who sees patients 18 years and older. Dr. Westman earned his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Dr. Westman provides preventative care such as annual wellness exams and he treats both acute and chronic conditions. Conditions he treats include diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic kidney disease, excessive alcohol use, heart failure, high blood pressure, tobacco use and obesity. As a primary care physician, Dr. Westman provides comprehensive medical care focusing on the patient’s needs and goals when offering medical recommendations and treatment plans. He enjoys building strong relationships with his patients, motivating them to live their healthiest lives. Dr. Westman is originally from Virginia, just outside Washington, DC.
