Created in June of 1954, the Corinth Gas and Water Department is a municipal utility governed by the Corinth Public Utilities Commission. Based in Mississippi, the commission controls, manages and operates the natural gas and water distribution systems for the City of Corinth. It supplies water to around 6,500 customers, through nearly 250 miles of distribution piping. Corinth Gas and Water Department purchases and distributes natural gas over 350 miles of distribution mains and service lines to about 7,500 customers.
