Hennepin County Human Resources serves the public and more than 8,500 employees in over 20 county departments. Its administration division specializes in the planning, development, coordination and implementation of policies, procedures, goals and objectives of the department. The department has a benefit division that develops, implements and administers benefit programs, including group insurance, long-term care plans, health care assistance and vocational donation to meet the needs of employees and families. Hennepin County Human Resources also includes an organization development division that provides surveys and leadership coaching, conflict mediation, change management, team building, service quality and measurement services. The department additionally offers information technology and staffing services.
