Through hands-on experiences like self-guided walking tours, field trips, day camps, special events, and virtual programming, Farmamerica strives to connect people with the evolving story of agriculture so they better understand not just how the countryside was settled over 200 years ago, but how agriculture and farming are progressing to be more sustainable than ever before. Tours along our 3/4-mile walking path include visits to the restored grassland prairie, 1850s farmsite, one-room schoolhouse, country church, 1930s farmsite, Blacksmith Shop & Town Hall, and more. Farmamerica - the Minnesota Agricultural Interpretive Center was established in 1978 by the Minnesota legislature to preserve our rich agricultural heritage and look to the future.
