The National Negro Business League (NNBL) was founded by Dr. Booker T. Washington on August 23, 1900, in Boston, MA., as the nation’s first and oldest business organization, 12 years before the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Inc. The NNBL was formally incorporated in 1901 in New York City. We are a not-for-profit, nonpartisan, nonsectarian, commerce-driven institution dedicated to the economic empowerment of Black businesses, communities, and people. Through our value-add programmatic initiatives and partnerships, we support Black-owned businesses locally, regionally, nationally, and throughout the Pan-African Diaspora.

The Detroit Federation of Musicians is a professional organization that has been a vital part of Detroit's cultural heritage since 1881, representing musicians across the region. As a member of the American Federation of Musicians, it plays a key role in supporting nearly 100,000 professional musicians throughout the United States and Canada. In addition to promoting live music and providing resources for musicians, the Federation partners with the Music Performance Trust Fund to enhance public appreciation of music through free performances and educational programs.
