History
First National Bank of Michigan is privately owned by investors who value commitment to a locally controlled bank that cultivates the health and security of the communities in which they work and live. The bank opened in downtown Kalamazoo in 2006, and expanded in Portage in 2008 and the westside of Kalamazoo in 2010. In 2011, Dan Bitzer, President, led our expansion into the Grand Rapids market. Our growth continued in 2016 with the opening of a loan production office in Holland and in 2017 with a loan production office in Lansing. In March of 2018, the Holland LPO opened as a full service bank in downtown Holland. We offer the full complement of retail banking services, home mortgages and personal loans, with a special emphasis on commercial banking. Supporting and advancing local businesses remains a top priority.
