Founded in 1953, the Clawson Youth Assistance program provides scholarships, activities and counseling for children across the community. Oakland County, the City of Clawson and the Clawson School District sponsor the program.
The Youth Assistance program helps at risk families with such problems as divorce, neglect, disrespect and child behavioral issues. The staff at Youth Assistance also provide help in addressing truancy issues among students.
Clawson Youth Assistance's office is located in the Clawson Public School's administrative offices on the same grounds as the high school and middle school.
