Woburn Nursing Center is a more than 140-bed subacute care unit located in Woburn, Mass. The center s transitional rehabilitation and subacute medical program provides care to those patients who require treatment to regain their ability to live independently in the community. Its services include complex medical, postsurgical intravenous therapy, pain management, complex rehabilitation and wound management. The center employs its own physical, occupational and speech therapists and operates a specially equipped therapy gym and homelike kitchen model, which allows patients to practice daily living skills prior to going home. Woburn Nursing Center also operates a more than 35 Alzheimer special care unit providing treatment to patients suffering from Alzheimer s disease and dementia.
