Founded in 1988, Horizons for Homeless Children is an independent, nonprofit organization that serves homeless children and their families. It operates various recreational and shelter facilities. The organization has served more than 2,500 children, as well as maintains community centers that provide full-time educational programs for over 150 students. It also offers advocacy, job training and technical assistance services. The organization works in association with state and federal government officials. Horizons for Homeless Children organizes national and local conferences, as well as spring galas, marathons and award dinners. In addition, the organization provides Playspace Programs, which features facilities that are equipped with books, climbing structures and art supplies. It operates various community children's centers that have served nearly 1,000 children.

We're very happy you have entrusted your child to our care. The Kiddie Lodge, established in 1955, was formerly a large homestead. Our home-like environment and natural setting offers a warm, loving atmosphere. We have bright airy rooms, safe off-street parking and spacious protected play yards on 2.5 acres of land. The lodge is conveniently accessible to major highways, including Route 9 and the Massachusetts Pike. Our staff includes teachers, a director, an assistant, and nurse consultant. We encourage continued education and offer many in-house seminars as well as welcoming faculty to provide staff training. Each staff member is certified in First Aid and CPR. The Kiddie Lodge provides continuity in the curriculum of 4 grade levels for children 15 months to age 6. It has been voted Best of the Best Child Care Center for twelve consecutive years by National Independent Survey and 2014 Readers Choice Awards for Framingham and region. Licensed for an enrollment of 61 children, the lodge is certified by the state. We also granted QRIS level 3 rating by the state, a level only 2% of child care facilities hold presently. The mission of the Kiddie Lodge is to provide a warm, nurturing home away from home that is student centered, family friendly while at the same time giving individual attention to the development of the whole child in an environment that is loving, respectful, accepting, tolerant, yet, challenges all children to realize their fullest potential.
