FAME is a replica of a privateer schooner from the War of 1812. Launched in 2003, our new FAME cruises on Salem Sound, where pirates & privateers have been making history for 400 years. FAME sails from Memorial Day through Halloween from Pickering Wharf Marina in downtown Salem. A great trip for all ages! Our guests are invited to help raise the sails, take the tiller, or just relax with a cold beverage and enjoy the beauty of Salem Sound. Gorgeous waterfront homes & as many as six lighthouses are visible during your cruise. Pickering Wharf is right downtown in a fun location with lots of shops and restaurants. *** However, parking can be a challenge, especially on weekends, and that goes TRIPLE for October! *** Be sure to allow extra time for traffic and parking. The boat leaves on time, and you will NOT receive a refund if you miss the boat.
