Our Congregation Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer received its charter and officially became a congregation on November 1, 1964. The congregation draws its members from a dozen area towns. We gather as a congregation to receive and to celebrate God's forgiving and life-giving love in Jesus Christ, and to be empowered by His Holy Spirit to reflect that love in the world. Our Redeemer is a member congregation of the largest Lutheran Church body in the United States. We are part of the 5.3 million member Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, whose national headquarters is located in Chicago, Illinois and whose regional ( New England Synod ) headquarters is located in nearby Worcester, Massachusetts.
