Midland Care

Established in 1979 and located in Topeka, Kan., Midland Hospice Care is a nonprofit, community-based Medicare- and Medicaid-certified organization. It provides specialized treatment and health care services to patients suffering from terminal illnesses and is a part of Midland Care Connection. Midland Hospice Care is certified by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and serves more than 20 northeast Kansas counties. It has a staff of professional and certified nurses to provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes, nursing facilities and hospitals. Additionally, the organization has a special hospice care team, which includes medical directors, physicians, registered nurse case managers, social workers and home health aides. Its hospice care team specializes in pain and symptom management, bereavement care and palliative care. Midland Hospice Care additionally offers health care services to patients suffering from Alzheimer's disease and dementia-related disorders.
