History
The Zionsville Nature Center was founded in 2002 through the dedicated efforts of the Zionsville Parks Department and the Friends of Zion Nature Center. In 2021 the Nature Center moved from its location on school grounds next to Eagle Elementary to the lower level of the Hussey-Mayfield Public Library (in the Youth Services Department). The new location will allow for increased partnership with the library as well as expanded open hours and access to programming for the general public.
Specialties
The Zionsville Nature Center encourages Zionsville and Central Indiana families to take an active role in their native environment through educational and inquiry-based programs, exhibits, and activities.
