We operate funeral homes in Marion, Gas City and Swayzee to serve the families of Grant County. Our Marion chapel provides comfortable, spacious accommodations as a well as a separate funeral planning center where arrangements can be made in a quiet, peaceful environment. Our Gas City funeral home is comfortable and spacious as well and maintains the distinction as being the oldest continuing business concern in Gas City and Mill Township dating back to 1892. Our Swayzee chapel purchased in 2000 continues to exemplify and expand on the excellent service provided by the Rybolt family in a home-like intimate atmosphere. Additionally, Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service owns and operates Grant Memorial Park cemetery in Marion and manages Riverside cemetery in Mill Township. Needham-Storey-Wampner continues to be recognized as a leader in funeral service in Grant County, Indiana and the United States. As a testament to our staff, our organization has been recognized by the National Funeral Directors Association as an "Eagle Award" winner the past three years and has been recognized through the Pursuit of Excellence program for the past 6 years. There were 311 "Eagle Award' winners nationwide in 2003 with only 8 in Indiana. Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service is a member of the International Cemetery and Funeral Association, the National Funeral Directors Association, the Indiana Funeral Directors Association, Indiana Cemetery Association, and Selected Independent Funeral Homes. Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, as a corporation, is owned by its employees. Nearly 2/3's of the organizations is owned by 7 employees and remainder is held in trust for all qualified employees through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan ( ESOP ). 20 employees from groundskeepers to funeral directors own Needham-Storey-Wampner. When you talk to a full-time employee of Needham-Storey-Wampner you are probably talking to an owner.
