National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, established in 1895, is a full-service national trade association with more than 1,400 member companies. The association s members include various property and casualty insurance companies that underwrite more than 40 percent of the insurance premium in the United States. Its members include small farm mutual companies, state and regional insurance companies, risk retention groups, national writers, reinsurance companies, and international insurance companies. The company is affiliated with the American Partners Bank, National Independent Statistical Services, Insurance Education Institute, Crop Insurance Research Bureau, and Insurance Loss Control Association. National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies is a nonprofit organization and is located in Indianapolis.
