Walker Tile was founded in 1952, and soon became the leading tile store serving Chicago's south suburbs and the northwest Indiana area. In 1976 we moved into our current 27, 000 square foot location. In the mid-1980's, with the expansion of our carpet department, we changed our name to Walker Carpet & Tile World. For over 56 years, Walker Tile has been the name you can trust for quality, value and unsurpassed customer service. Many of the thousands of items we carry are stocked right on the showroom floor so you can see the actual material you are going to take home, not just a single sample piece. Our showroom contains numerous large displays and vignettes that allow you to visualize the finished product and give you design ideas to help you create the perfect environment for your home. In addition to our in-stock selection, we have many more items available on a special order basis.
