Elk Grove Public Library was founded in 1959 and houses more than 361,000 books, music cassettes, instructional videos, CDs and DVDs, pamphlets, and magazines. It provides services to school children, adults and people with disabilities. Its catalogue has books on fiction, nonfiction, science and technology, including, dictionaries, and encyclopedias. The library offers various services, such as online book clubs, online bookstore, net library, and has meeting room facility. Elk Grove Public Library has a separate section for the school children that offers over 119,000 books, and various materials on languages, literature, and fiction and nonfiction subjects. It also organizes various summer activities and programs, such as book reading, reviewing and debates. The library offers free membership to area residents, and is located in Elf Grove, Ill.
