Chicago Scenic Studios creates a design, builds the reality and manages it all by using knowledge it has gained from past experiences. Chicago Scenic grew out of its founder's concept of a company that would design and build theatrical scenery in Chicago's growing off-Loop theater community. The company has proven that it can take on any type of project, from exhibits to special events and themed entertainment. It provides a variety of services, such as carpentry assistance; design and presentation, such as models, prototypes, renderings and sketches; electronic and mechanical work; fabric services that include banners, costumes, drapery, inflatables and wardrobe; lighting mechanisms; metalwork; painting; plastics; rentals; rigging equipment, such as chains, hoists and fly systems; special effects; and transportation. Production management services include audience facilities, audiovisual coordination, budget management, catering, facility negotiations, hotel service coordination, payroll, permits and security.
