The Aurora Public Property Department provides street maintenance services for the City of Aurora in Aurora, Ill. The department through its Street Maintenance Division, Neighborhood Redevelopment Division, and Water and Sewer Maintenance Division, is responsible for the maintenance of approximately 1,200 lane miles of public roadway and right of way. Various maintenance programs have been implemented which maximize the use of the departments approximately 38 full-time maintenance workers. A management team of six is responsible for the day-to-day operations, as well as for short and long range planning.
