Aravind Athiviraham, MD is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, arthritis and joint reconstruction and arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder. He is a graduate of McGill University Faculty of Medicine in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Queen's University Faculty of Medicine in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He subsequently completed a fellowship in sports medicine at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH, and a fellowship in adult reconstruction at Insall Scott Kelly Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in New York, NY. Dr. Athiviraham's research interests include the biology and biomechanics of rotator cuff repair and anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, to optimize patient recovery from surgery and early return to sports activity.
