Visiting Mauna Loaʻs Visitor Center is a must when it comes to visiting Hawaiʻi Island. Beginning in 1946, in the shadow of Mauna Loa volcano herself, we learned to grow and roast our macadamias to produce a nut with luscious buttery flavor and satisfying crunch—becoming a Hawaiian icon in the process.

ML Macadamia Orchards is the world's largest grower of macadamia nuts, owning or leasing more than 4,000 acres of macadamia orchards on the island of Hawaii. All of the macadamia nuts it harvests are sold exclusively to Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Corporation, a privately owned company that processes and markets the macadamia nuts and macadamia nut products under the Mauna Loa brand name. The company had revenues of more than $17 million in 2005 and produced almost 22 million pounds of macadamia nuts. ML Macadamia Orchards is a publicly traded limited partnership, trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol NUT. Its headquarters is in Hilo, Hawaii.
