After receiving her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in 2011, Dr. Cronin did her General Surgery residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. She then completed her fellowship in Colon and Rectal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. She has been in practice since 2019. Her clinical focus involves malignant and benign diseases of the colon, rectum, and anus, including colon, rectal and anal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, rectal prolapse, pelvic floor disorders, and anorectal disorders. She has a specific interest in minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic approaches to colon and rectal surgery. She has published in numerous leading journals including JAMA Surgery, the Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery, Gut, the American Journal of Surgery, Surgical Endoscopy, and the Journal of Surgical Oncology. Additionally, she reviews articles for multiple journals including the British Journal of Surgery, the American Surgeon, and Nature Scientific Reports. Her organizational memberships include the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and the Southeastern Surgical Congress. The main focuses of her committee involvement and invited lectures are surgery mentorship, complicated diverticular disease, and complex benign anorectal disorders.
