Galano Club, Inc was founded March 1, 1982. It is a registered 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) non-profit corporation in the State of Georgia and has been granted tax -exempt status by the State and Federal governments. Galano Club, Inc has no affiliation with Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon or any other 12 Step Program. We provide facilities for meetings, conferences, and communications between groups and service organizations of Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon. Primarily, we offer space where 12-step groups may hold meetings. Each group pays rent to the club for use of meeting space. Membership in Galano Club is independent of membership in any group that uses the club's facilities for their meetings. Galano Club is a community and your membership helps support the clubhouse and its activities for the recovery community. Meeting attendance alone does not constitute membership in The Galano Club! By joining, you give to others what has been so freely given to you. Without members, the Club could not support this clubhouse, which is one of the very few clubhouses in the U.S. designed primarily to serve the gay/lesbian recovery community.
