Dr. Obeidin's Office

Michael Shotwell, M.D., is a general surgeon with more than 20 years of experience. Dr. Shotwell specializes in minimally invasive and laparoscopic procedures, providing excellent care for conditions such as gallbladder, hernia, thyroid, and colorectal disease. Dr. Shotwell earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed a general surgery residency at Michigan State University. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. When he's not working, Dr. Shotwell enjoys time with his family, hiking, and following UGA athletics. Dr. Shotwell is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.

Sean Olinger, MD, earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Olinger specializes in general surgery. His special interests include robotics, abdominal wall reconstruction, and gallbladder disease. He also performs operations on the thyroid, foregut, colon, endoscopy, skin and soft tissue as well as a wide breadth of general surgery. Dr. Olinger is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.

Robin Myers DNP, FNP-C is a nurse practitioner with Piedmont Athens Surgical Breast Care Specialists. Robin became a registered nurse in 1994. She began providing women's healthcare services in 1996. While working in public health she was involved with the Georgia Department of Public Health's Breast & Cervical Cancer Program. Robin became a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2000 after earning her Master's Degree. She later earned her Doctorate degree from Medical College of Georgia in 2007. Prior to joining Piedmont, Robin worked in primary care/ internal medicine and public health.
