Mayson Callaway, MD, joined the Pain Consultants of Atlanta team in 2021, bringing his expertise in interventional pain medicine to the center’s locations in Stockbridge and the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia. Double board-certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine, Dr. Callaway specializes in vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty as well as spinal cord, peripheral nerve, and dorsal root ganglion stimulation. Born and raised in Decatur, Georgia, Dr. Callaway is a proud graduate of Woodward Academy. He pursued his undergraduate education at the University of Georgia in Athens, earning dual bachelor's degrees in German and genetics with honors. Following his undergraduate studies, he attended the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta to obtain his medical degree. Dr. Callaway's medical journey continued with an internship in general surgery at the University of Colorado in Denver. He then completed his anesthesia residency at Emory University in Atlanta, where he served as chief resident. Building upon his knowledge and skills, he also pursued an interventional pain fellowship there. With a commitment to providing exceptional care, Dr. Callaway is currently accepting new patients. Nathaniel Pleasant, MD, is a double board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management specialist who provides comprehensive patient care at Pain Consultants of Atlanta’s office and surgery centers in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta and Fayetteville, Georgia. Dr. Pleasant completed his undergraduate education at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, before pursuing his medical degree at The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville. Dr. Pleasant also holds a master’s degree in public health from the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill.
