Sustainable Tallahassee is a member-driven, volunteer-run organization that has been serving Tallahassee and Leon County since 2007. They are dedicated to building a world-class sustainable community through education and collaboration with local governments, non-profit organizations, businesses, and community partners. Their mission is to accelerate the community's transition to environmental, economic, and social sustainability by focusing on renewable energy, transportation, waste reduction, and sustainable food. Founded as a non-profit organization in 2007, Sustainable Tallahassee was initially a catalyst team called Greenovation, working to make Tallahassee a more environmentally conscious city. Their projects included initiatives like the Park and Ride program and the iRecycle recycling program in Leon County Schools. Today, Sustainable Tallahassee continues to make a positive impact by providing individuals with tangible steps to live more sustainably and by advocating for policies such as natural gas incentives and multimodal transportation.Generated from the website
