Dr. Abeyewardene is one of the orthopaedic surgeons at Orthopaedic Care Specialists in North Palm Beach. He then received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma, College of Medicine in Oklahoma City. Dr. Abeyewardene undertook an orthopedic surgery residency at Spectrum Health/Michigan State University in Grand Rapids, MI where he was trained in all aspects of orthopedic surgery, including arthroscopic surgery, fracture management, and joint replacement. He then completed advanced fellowship training in hand to shoulder surgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville. At his fellowship, he trained under Dr. Paul Dell, one of the preeminent minds in hand surgery for the last 35 years. After fellowship, he was recruited to join the prestigious Orthopaedic Care Specialists, starting in 2019.Dr. Abeyewardene is a skilled surgeon who performs both inpatient and outpatient procedures.
