State College of Florida offers credit and noncredit education through distance learning and degree programs. It provides academic degrees, such as the Associate in Arts, the Associate in Applied Science and the Associate in Science. Noncredit education is offered through the center for corporate and community development. Both credit and noncredit students take classes at two full-service campuses in Bradenton and Venice, Fla. Additionally, the college operates the Center for Innovation and Technology, which is a satellite site located in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. The college also provides distance learning courses through television, video tapes, conferences and the Internet. State College of Florida s departments include language and literature, social and behavioral sciences, business and technology, mathematics, natural science and nursing.
