Monk’s was founded January 2001. Voted one of Sarasota’s Best Raw Bars, we offer the finest Raw Oysters, as well as other fantastic shellfish appetizers. Our Oysters Monkefellas are one of the most popular items in Sarasota and nationally. Try our 2 lb. Jumbo Shrimp steamed with garlic butter and old bay seasoning, it’s fast becoming a new favorite. We also offer Mussels, Littleneck Clams, PeelNEat Shrimp, Snow Crab Legs and Crawfish. All items are available for take out, apart from the raw oysters. We are proudly a non-smoking environment. Are you a fan of beer? How about seafood? THIS PLACE IS A MUST TRY! I am in love with their food. My husband and his mom got the hot dog and loved it. We ordered crab legs, oysters, cheese bread...

Too bad I can only leave 5 stars, or I'd rate this place 10. The monkey Eller oysters are as good, if not better than local oyster Rockefeller. The Bloody Mary was exceptional. Same for our wait...

Super limited menu. Believe there is no real kitchen. They weren't fans of my "Service Dogs"
