Mina Rizk, D.O., is a board-certified neurologist at Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute. In the role of neurohospitalist, Dr. Rizk will provide hospital-based care for patients with neurologic disorders. He specializes in all aspects of acute neurology, including neurocritical care, acute stroke management and epilepsy treatment. Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Rizk was an acute stroke neurologist at TeleSpecialists and a veteran evaluator physician at Veteran Evaluation Services. Dr. Rizk earned his medical degree at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a neurology residency at Larkin Community Hospital in South Miami and a neurocritical care and clinical neurophysiology fellowship at AdventHealth Orlando. Since the nervous system plays an integral role in controlling all activities within the human body, Dr. Rizk provides comprehensive patient care and considers the impact other organ systems have on the brain. He also recognizes the important role a patient’s family members play in the treatment of neurological diseases, so he includes loved ones in the care plan to achieve the best outcomes for his patients. Dr. Rizk is fluent in English, Spanish and Arabic. In his free time, he enjoys boating, visiting new restaurants and spending time with his wife and daughter.
