Luis Andres Compres Brugal, MD

Our pediatric cardiology specialists offer children comprehensive cardiac care for congenital (present at birth) and acquired (developed later) heart conditions. Sarah E. Marmol, M.D., is a board-certified neurologist at Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute. She specializes in movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, tremor and dystonia, and has a special interest in clinical research. Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Marmol was a clinical instructor of neurology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Marmol earned her medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She also completed a neurology residency and a movement disorders fellowship at University of Miami Health System. Dr. Marmol is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society. She has published her research findings in peer-reviewed journals and presented scientific papers at professional symposiums. Dr. Marmol views the patient-physician relationship as a care partnership. Her goal is to provide the best care for her patients through high-quality research, evidence-based practice and a holistic approach. Dr. Marmol is fluent in English and Spanish. When she is not treating patients, she enjoys traveling and exercising.

Guilherme Dabus, M.D., is the co-director of interventional neuroradiology at Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute. Dr. Dabus specializes in interventional neuroradiology and neuroendovascular surgery. He is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Prior to joining Miami Neuroscience Institute in 2021, Dr. Dabus served as an attending interventional neuroradiologist at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute and interim Chief of Neuroscience at Baptist Health Baptist Hospital from 2019 to 2020. Active in training the next generation of physicians, Dr. Dabus is the director of the Interventional Neuroradiology Fellowship Program at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute and Miami Neuroscience Institute. He is also a clinical professor in the Department of Neuroscience at Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine of Florida International University. Dr. Dabus has served as the local principal investigator for several clinical trials and is the national co-PI for the SUMMIT MAX trial. His research has been published more than 120 times in peer-reviewed publications, including Stroke, the Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery, Neuroradiology, AJNR, Neurosurgery, Journal of Neurosurgery, Handbook of Clinical Neurology and Frontiers in Neurology. He has also authored several chapters for medical textbooks. Dr. Dabus is a leader in his field and serves on the board of directors of the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery, where he currently holds the position of treasurer. He was the chair of the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery Annual Meeting held in 2018 in San Francisco. Dr. Dabus serves as a reviewer for numerous publications, including the Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery, Clinical Neurology and Neurosurgery, Journal of Endovascular Therapy, Stroke, American Journal of Neuroradiology and Interventional Neuroradiology. He is also a sought-after speaker and regularly presents at national and international events. Dr. Dabus’ approach to patient care is to treat all his patients as they were his own family members. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Dabus enjoys spending time with his family, reading, studying music and arts.
