Established in 1965, LifeLine of Central Florida is a private, nonprofit organization that provides a variety of crisis services. The organization offers educational, suicide prevention and awareness, and crisis prevention and intervention services. It serves Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties in Florida. The organization is funded by the Heart of Florida United Way, Florida Department of Children and Families, and Ryan Foundation. LifeLine of Central Florida offers 24-hour hot line services for teenagers in need of counseling assistance and information about community resources. The organization conducts several presentations and seminars on suicide education. In addition, it organizes various training sessions for active listening skill development and suicide assessment and intervention. The organization maintains a location in Orlando, Fla.
