Lester's Diner has been a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., institution for as long as most residents can remember. Since 1968, it has been the county's quintessential diner, serving iconic American food in a casual setting close enough to Port Everglades and the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport to keep its tables and long counter filled with a steady stream of tourists as well as regulars.
