SAIL USA is a non-profit organization founded in the early 1980s by a group of educators. They offer alternative opportunities to inner city and special needs children through activities such as sailing, power boating, and other recreational activities. Additionally, SAIL USA is involved in the design and construction of high-tech fiberglass RC sailboats, while also providing mentoring programs to enhance social skills and overall development of the youth. With a mission to create positive change, SAIL USA aims to expose inner city kids and youths with special needs to new experiences, fostering whole relationships and curbing issues like juvenile delinquency and bullying. The organization is funded through donations of unwanted boats, motor homes, automobiles, campers, and other equipment, as well as cash contributions.
