Conchy Joe's

Conchy Joe s Seafood has been serving old Florida riverfront hospitality since 1979. The restaurant s menu features New York strip steaks, prime rib, filet mignon, grouper marsala (house specialty), coconut fried shrimp, New England clam chowder, and a variety of appetizers and sandwiches. The most unique menu item is Conchy s Famous Works Burger, which is modeled after the drive-in-style burgers of the 1950s. Its preparation is described here: We season five ounces of cheap ground chuck with 11 secret herbs and spices, fry it up in a pan full of grease, and serve it on a stale sesame seed bun with mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, pickles, lots of thin-sliced onions, lettuce and tomato. That's the only way we serve it. Conchy Joe s also has a raw bar menu that features steamed clams, oysters on the half shell, steamed mussels, Alaskan king crab legs and shrimp cocktail. Located in Jensen Beach, Fla., Conchy Joe s also keeps a fully stocked bar.
