A salon that does it all is not hard to find, but a salon that offers years of experience, quality service, award winning products and still does it all is a true find. "I started this business with one chair more than 20 years ago," said Badar Unnisa, owner and namesake of Badar?s Hair & All. Over the last two decades, Unnisa, who personally has 35 years in the beauty industry, has expanded to three salons and now has a staff of more than 50 licensed beauticians. All of the staff has years of experience and often train with Unnisa herself when they are first hired. The salon where it all began, located on Fowler Ave., is both spacious and spotless. The location recently underwent renovation and doubled in size, which has allowed for additional private treatment rooms, a larger waiting area and about 15 more stations to help with customer capacity. "Where beauty is concerned, we do everything," she said. "We handle all types of clients because they know this is a one-stop for beauty.". That certainly comes across when you view the long list of services available at Badar's. Starting with manicures and pedicures, from simple polish changes to acrylic tips, continuing with haircuts, color work and even Japanese straightening, and then finishing with waxing services for every area of the body...there is almost nothing that can't be done during an appointment at these salons. In the next few months, Badar?s will be adding a variety of body wraps to the menu. However, no matter what services are added, eyebrow threading remains the customer favorite and it's no surprise why. The threading technique has grown in popularity, but until you sit in a chair at Badar's, you probably haven't experienced how easy and effective it can be. With gentle touches as light as a feather, technicians expertly remove stray hairs and shape the brows to perfection in only a matter of minutes. Thursday through Saturday is almost always busy, especially when it comes to walk-ins for eyebrow threading. In fact, Unnisa has clients take a numbered ticket when they arrive in order to manage the line and wait times.
