Specialties
Agua Viva Serves is a non-profit organization that implements sustainable clean water projects. It was founded in 2008 by two civil engineers from Florida who wanted to use their expertise to bring clean water to rural communities in Costa Rica. Our board and volunteers are personally involved in our mission to bring drinking water to the underprivileged communities in Northern Costa Rica. Agua Viva Serves leverages specialized water charity skills, knowledge, and equipment to install water systems in partnership with relief organizations and communities in need. All of our projects include a co-op component to continue to maintain the systems into the future. Our goal is to build a self-governing and sustainable water system for the future. Agua Viva Serves' charity projects are a long term commitment to the communities we serve, and we educate our board, Costa Rican staff, and volunteers on the importance of clean water and hygiene. What's more, we help with setting up well funds to provide for the costs of well maintenance, security, and access to clean water.
