History
The Clay Date was opened in November of 2011. After working with clay and operating a traveling clay studio, the owners decided to take the leap to a retail location. The goal of The Clay Date has always been to offer the public a place to unwind and relax through a variety of art medias. In 2016 The Clay Date had to make a choice of renewing their lease in the Woodbridge location or move to a nearby plaza in New Haven. It was decided that in the New Haven location, customer access would be easier, and there was opportunity to expand. The move was made in August of 2016. Now in a bigger and brighter space, The Clay Date has expanded their art options and added The Art of Coffee and Ice Cream.
