History
Dr. Kowalsky currently serves as team physician for the CT Whale, the USA Rugby National Team, and the Northeast Academy Olympic Development rugby program. Locally, he cares for the White Plains Rugby Football Club, Iona College Rugby Football Club and the Greenwich High School Rugby Team. Dr. Kowalsky earned his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA, where he also received an MBA in Health Management. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Columbia University Medical Center in New York, NY. He then completed two subspecialty fellowships, the first in sports medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital / Nicholas Institute of Sports Medicine and Athletic Trauma, and the second in shoulder and elbow surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Kowalsky has subspecialty certification in Sports Medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and has been inducted as a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons.

Dr. Kowalsky is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with expertise in surgical and nonsurgical treatment of upper and lower extremity sports injury, as well as complex shoulder and elbow conditions including degenerative disease, trauma, and revision surgery.
