The Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped is a network library of the Library of Congress National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. This service lends books and magazines in Braille or recorded formats along with the necessary playback equipment, free of charge, for any Connecticut adult or child unable to read regular print due to a visual or physical disability. All materials are mailed to and from library patrons by postage-free mail.
An application for service must be completed and signed by an appropriate certifying authority. You can call or write to request an application or program information. An application can also be downloaded from the library’s website.
