Founded in 2001 by longtime Bethel resident Eva Donnelly, A Stitch In Time is a full-service knitting and needlepoint emporium that caters to both beginning and experienced knitters. The store, which opened at its present location in 2005, has the feeling of a candy shop, with colorful yarns, handmade sweaters and knitting accessories piled high as far as the eye can see. A Stitch In Time stays current with all the new yarns and fibers, and offers custom needlepoint canvases, as well as a full range of knitting projects and other gifts. Customers can also expect all kinds of extras, such as a finishing service for knitting and needlepoint projects, ongoing workshops and classes, social knitting events and book signings. A Stitch in Time sponsors a number of charity events annually, and is happy to fill special orders or create a holiday wishlist for any customer.
