Founded in 1957, it began providing service to the employees of the University of California's Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, but later expanded its membership to include the employees and families of the city of Livermore, Calif., and to companies that belong to local chambers of commerce in Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, San Ramon, Danville and Tracy, Calif. Membership is also open to people in the California counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, San Joaquin and Stanislaus. UNCLE Credit Union has more than $240 million in assets and more than 30,000 members. It offers a variety of financial services, which include checking and savings accounts, a full line of loans, Visa Check Cards, Visa Credit Cards, high yield savings including certificates, money market accounts and IRAs. UNCLE Credit Union has five offices and one ATM-only location.
