The Clorox Company is a leading manufacturer and marketer of consumer products with fiscal year 2005 revenues of nearly $4.5 billion. With approximately 7,600 employees worldwide, the company manufactures products in more than 25 countries and markets those products in nearly 100 countries. The company began on May 3, 1913, when five California entrepreneurs invested $100 apiece to set up one of America's first commercial-scale liquid bleach factories. In 1914, they named their product Clorox bleach. Its well-known product brands include 409, Armor All, Clorox, Liquid-Plumr, Oxi-Magic, Pine-Sol, SOS and Tilex.
