Student LifeEach day at SUM is designed to promote the spiritual and social development of our students. Students learn life skills through their association with other students and faculty members from different countries, cultures, and ethnic backgrounds.Spiritual LifeThe school day begins with a time of community worship and prayer. At mid-day, spiritual growth is further enhanced during Chapel service. Students enter into a dynamic time of worship and are challenged by the life changing proclamation of the Word of God. Each Student is encouraged to have a consistent devotional life including fasting, prayer, and Biblical study.Social DevelopmentThe SUM environment stimulates an opportunity for Bible-based social growth. Students are yoked together by their consecration and dedication to impact the world for Jesus Christ. The common commitment provides an ideal setting for the development of covenant relationships for life.SUM offers a One-Year Ministry Certificate, a two year Associate of Arts degree, or a three year Bachelor of Arts degree. Each degree offeres a concentration in Biblical Studies, Church Planting, Pastoral Ministry, Global Missions and Youth Ministry. Each academic certification features five curricular divisions: Bible, General Education, Missions, Theology, Applied Theology (Practical Ministry), and Field Experience. The academic year consists of three 11 week terms (Fall, Winter, and Spring).
