SEARAC is a national civil rights organization that empowers diverse communities from Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. As the representatives of the largest refugee community ever resettled in the United States, SEARAC stands in solidarity with other refugee communities, communities of color, and social justice movements to strive for social equity.
SEARAC's work revolves around building strong Southeast Asian American individuals, families, and communities through policy advocacy, community building, and developing leaders for change. They engage with the community, coordinate strategies, and mobilize for change, while also uplifting their community through powerful advocacy at the national and California state level. SEARAC fights for justice and equity in areas such as education, immigration, health, boys and men of color, and aging, working in solidarity with other communities of color and social justice movements.
