SpecialtiesI am a Marriage and Family Therapist Registered Intern who enjoys working with individuals, adolescents, families and couples. I work with clients who struggle with depression, anxiety and panic attacks, substance abuse and addiction, Trauma and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I also work with adolescents in foster care and their families. I work collaboratively, integrating a variety of methods and techniques to suit each client and their individual challenges. I listen with an open mind, answer questions honestly, and participate actively. I work with clients to define goals, build on their strengths, and find satisfying solutions. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the foundation of my treatment but I incorporate a variety of other methods and techniques. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Relational, Somatic, Mindfulness and other therapies.

HistoryI have been a psychologist in Lafayette for 30 years, working in therapy with children and adolescents, individual adults, and couples. I also work with families of divorce in several roles: divorce mediator, co-parenting counselor, and parenting coach. I began my practice because of my passion for helping people and seeing them find success.SpecialtiesWith over 25 years of experience being a licensed psychologist, I love my work and am dedicated to my clients. I attempt to create a safe and warm environment where kindness and humor are the salves. I try to listen well and ask good questions, creating options and inspiring hope. Seeing clients make desired changes and feel better is very gratifying for me. In my work with clients I strive to provide a comfortable, welcoming environment where clients can feel safe to pursue their goals and find the answers and solutions they seek. My style and approach tends to be interactive, personal, and practical. I bring to this rewarding work enthusiasm, humor, empathy, and the ability to see the best in clients. I help clients develop the confidence and resilience that will enable them to achieve what matters most to them. Motivated clients can expect to make real progress.
