Located in east Union City and built in 1963, Searles Elementary School's mission is to build a solid foundation for success and achievement in all areas of study. The school has a diverse student population with an average annual enrollment of 720 who collectively speak 14 different languages. The school also has a Tri-Cities Preschool located on campus which serves low-income children. The school has an Academic Performance Index (API) of 760.
