Specialties
You will receive a therapeutic massage tailored to your needs when you come in, integrating techniques based on what will be most effective for treating the tensions you are aware of, as well as perhaps some you didn't know were there. Your session will include a blend of Swedish sports and deep tissue massage, a form of Chinese orthopedic massage called tui na, and may also include myofascial release, active or passive stretching as well as other techniques. Sessions may be used for acute or chronic tensions and injuries, general health maintenance, or as part of an athletic training regimen. Massage for relaxation and stress relief will focus on where you hold tension in your body, rather than a generic sequence. The issue you choose to focus on will be the starting point of a balanced treatment plan, and Scott will work with you to address the various tensions, body mechanics, and lifestyle issues that influence it.
